Warthog Announce Third Self-titled EP & Share Blistering New Single "Four Walls" (Toxic State/Static Shock Records)

"After four long years, New York's Warthog finally return in 2022 with their latest EP. Need we say more?" Static Shock Records shared within a brief release statement on their Bandcamp page. Warthog's latest (third?) self-titled 7-inch EP is the proper follow-up to their (second?) self-titled release from 2018. Warthog have since shared an 8-track live release fittingly titled LIVE! on Shout Recordings/Static Shock Records back in May of 2019. It features Warthog's long-time line-up of Christopher "Chris" Hansell on vocals, Michael "Mike"/M. Gorup/Goo & Sully providing guitar, bassist Mateo Cartagena, and drummer Ryan Naideau. Warthog was recorded by Sasha Stroud at Artifact Audio, mixed by Will Killingsworth (Bacchae, Incendiary, The Men,) and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Cro-Mags, P*ssed Jeans, Turnstile) with artwork designed by Alexander Heir.

Along with the unexpected announcement of Warthog (III,) Warthog have shared a preview of the EP by way of first single, "Four Walls." Just in case you wanna sing along to this festering New York Hardcore/Metal-indebted ripper, here are the lyrics: "THE VILE SMELL OF DISTRESS / FILLS THE ROOM LIKE POISONOUS GAS / MORE SUFFOCATION / MORE DEBILITATION / I'VE GOT THE FEELING ITS HERE / INSIDE AND OUT / THE OUTCOME STANDS TALL / VITALS WEARING THIN/ ITS UP TO YOU / TO STEADY THE SHIP." Warthog are playing some gigs this May in New York and have a show booked in Copenhagen, Denmark this June with additional dates expected to be announced soon. Warthog's Warthog drops May 6, 2022 on Toxic State Records (US) & Static Shock Records (UK.) It's now available for pre-order on 7-inch directly from Warthog on Bandcamp.
