The Mighty Jabronis Let Loose Wrestling-themed Garage Rock/Punk On MIGHTY JABRONIS EP & UH HUH RECORDS 45 (Nashville Wrassle Punk)

It's the week after WrestleMania 35/Monday Night RAW, so we're just gonna keep this "unofficial" wrestling theme going... Punk/Hardcore and pro-wrestling have always seemed to go hand-in-hand; as far back as 90's Redwood City-based Powerviolence/Hardcore band SPAZZ to Indie wrestler turned Hardcore frontman Ultramantis Black to pre-Pissed Jeans Powerviolence group The Ultimate Warriors to Straight Edge pro wrestler Brody King's band God's Hate to Iron Chic to F*CKED UP frontman Damian "Pink Eyes" Abraham's Turned Out A Punk off-shoot Clobberin' Time Podcast with fellow wrestling fanatic Tom Breihan. All of this brings us to Nashville, Tennessee's very own wrestling-themed Garage Rock/Punk band, The Mighty Jabronis. The frantic foursome includes frontman "Cool" Cat Taylor, bassist "Beautiful" Bobby Hazzard, guitarist The "Brawling" Blood Donor, and drummer "Sultry" Steph Infection.

Now, of course, The Mighty Jabronis' name is partly inspired by wrestlers The Iron Sheik & The Rock's infamous catchphrase and they definitely dress the part for their rowdy live gigs and often tongue-in-cheek performances. By their own merit, The Mighty Jabronis "combine the two most awesome forces in the universe: Rock "N" Roll and pro wrestling. You'll love it or you'll get a body slam!" The Jabronis have been active since about July 2017, at least, judging by their ongoing The Mighty Jabronis Promo series on Ryan Brush's YouTube channel, which boasts an awesome Sex Pistols-evoking "NEVER MIND THE BOLONEY, HERE'S THE MIGHTY JABRONIS" Default picture. The Mighty Jabronis currently have a 7-inch/digital single out on Nashville-based UH HUH RECORDS featuring "Heart Punch My Heart" B/W "Put 'em In A Headlock." There's also, a self-titled 5-track MIGHTY JABRONIS EP now available on Spotify, which is available on Bandcamp with a whopping 4 additional tracks, including a slightly altered cover of Loverboy's 1981 smash-single, "Working for The Weekend." MIGHTY JABRONIS EP CD's are also, available directly from the band on their many wrestling-fueled jaunts across the world!

"After many years in retirement, "Cool" Cat Taylor became tired of living a life of luxury from the riches obtained from his professional wrestling career. The wealth obtained from performing in front of upwards of around 20 people in obscure towns provided him with the means to bring professional wrestling excellence to the world of Rock "N" Roll in ways that haven't been seen since the classic 1980's Rock "N" Wrestling connection. Of course, to achieve this dream, he needed the help of a group of stellar musicians. He put no limits on his search, as long as they were within a 15-mile range of where he lived. For reasons unknown, it was also, very important that all the musicians were already committed to at least three other bands each. In the end, all boxes were checked and The Mighty Jabronis were formed with "Sultry" Steph Infection on drums, "Beautiful" Bobby Hazzard on bass, and The "Brawling" Blood Donor on guitar. This is the beginning of the story. The rest is being written by history."
