We've been hearing rumblings about a new Hardcore/Punk super-group from Scott Vogel (Buried Alive, Cinderblock, Despair, Fadeaway, Slugfest, S.O.S., TERROR, WORLD BE FREE) for at least a couple months now... "hol' up, hol' up, hol' up;" nah, scratch that, actually! Scott Vogel is part of a new Hardcore/Punk super-group behemoth powerhouse called Bad Blood. In addition to frontman Vogel, Bad Blood's membership, also, includes guitarists Eric Ellman (Still Ill, Team Chocolate, THEY LIVE, Violent Way) and Mason Hutchins (The Elite, Exhibition, Violent Way,) bassist Greg Vinal (Exhibition,) and drummer Nick Terlecky (Clear Focus, The Elite, Exhibition, Violent Way.) "No-nonsense Hardcore with a punch and a pulse," is how Scott Vogel introduces Bad Blood, formed alongside members of Buffalo, New York-based Hardcore legends THEY LIVE and newcomers Violent Way & Exhibition. After years spent talking about making music together, Ellman, Hutchins, Vinal, and Terlecky finally created the musical backing while Vogel penned the accompanying lyrics. The result is the five hard-hitting tracks that make up The Bad Kind Decides EP, set for release in late March on Flatspot Records.

Just yesterday, the band shared single and video "Apology Denied," giving the first taste into the band's style of honesty packed with aggression. Across the EP, Bad Blood have created a fast, in-your-face sound with lyrics that deal with the negativities of reality. Taking influence from 80's Hardcore bands like Warzone & Brotherhood, the band name itself is a nod to legendary Buffalo Hardcore band Zero Tolerance's first 7-inch. The Bad Kind Decides was recorded live with producer Jay Zubricky (Every Time I Die, Hourglass, Mindforce) at GCR Studios and mastered by Will Killingsworth (Bacchae, The Men, Warthog) at Dead Air Studios. Now, yes, it's hard to tell off of just one song, but judging by the sum of its part, Bad Blood's The Bad Kind Decides should, theoretically, be a total bruiser! Having already played a handful of "secret" shows, Bad Blood will perform in Brooklyn, New York on April 7, 2023 at the Flatspot World Pre-show alongside Outburst, Violent Way, Kharma, and more and have a hometown record release show in Buffalo, New York the next night with Chokehold, Fatal Visions, Final Declaration, and Fools Game. The Bad Kind Decides EP is available for pre-order now via Flatspot Records. It will see a wide release on March 31, 2023.

Scott Vogel (@iamfinally) shared his own heart-felt statement on Instagram: "After being in Los Angeles for close to 20 years, literally the second I arrived back in Buffalo, Nick [Terlecky] & Mason [Hutchins] were there to help me move into my new apartment. At the time, I didn't really know them or much of the new breed of the Buffalo Hardcore scene. In time, I got to know these people and their musical interests, seeing their bands and all that Buffalo had going on, I knew I had to start a band here at home. It took some time to find the right people and pulling Eric [Ellman] in was such a perfect step."

"He's older and went through a lot of the same [Hardcore] times as I did, so we had some texts back-and-forth about the vibe of the songs referencing Confront, Warzone, Brotherhood, and Chain of Strength, from what I remember. We had to give a nod to Buffalo's greatest with the name "Bad Blood" and many thanks to @flatspotrecords for releasing this. We have two shows in April (NYC & Buffalo,) so check out the record and come out to a show, if you are close to either city. We are just having fun, making music, and I'm staying involved in Hardcore 'cause it's one of the only things on Earth I truly connect with and makes me feel alive. Follow us [at] @badblood716 to keep up with things we are up to."
