We told you yesterday afternoon that Fat Wreck Chords' new imprint Bottles to The Ground released a label compilation called Bottle Music for Broken People featuring songs from Codefendants, Fishbone, The Meffs, Melvinator, The Skints, and more. We wrote about Fat Mike's contribution with his new project, Fat Mike Gets Strung Out, featuring frequent collaborator Baz The Frenchman on comp. closer "Total Bummer." Bottle Music for Broken People is now available digitally, as well as on limited edition 12-inch vinyl. The majority of the tracks featured are previously unreleased and many will, eventually, appear on upcoming Bottles to The Ground physical releases on either 10-inch or 12-inch vinyl. Bottle Music for Broken People gives fans the first cross-sectional look at what they can expect from the new label moving forward.

Speaking on Bottles to The Ground's first compilation release, Fat Mike shares, "we're trying out a new thing where we put a bunch of different songs by a bunch of different bands on the same record and see what happens." The release of the new collection is highlighted by the music video for brand new track from Ska Punk legends, Fishbone. The video for the new track, titled "All We Have Is Now," was directed by Chris Graue, who also directed The Bruce Lee Band's video for "Did You Find The Money Farm?" featuring Angelo Moore, and edited by Vincent Walker (Suburban Legends.) "All We Have Is Now" is the first Fishbone release with Chris Dowd back in the band since 1994. The current line-up features four of six original members, making this the first new song recording with these members in 29 years.

After years of touring and rotating members, 2023 finds Fishbone back to their most solid line-up, which includes original members, Angelo Moore (vocals/saxophone,) Chris Dowd (keys/vocals,) "Dirty" Walter A. Kibby, II (trumpet/vocals,) and Norwood Fisher (bass,) along with veteran Fishbone drummer John Steward and guitarist Mark Phillips. Speaking on their brand new track and accompanying music video, Norwood Fisher shares, "Fishbone & NOFX go waaaay back. We're in the mutual admiration club, great appreciation for our individual approaches to the music that we're known for. I don't remember exactly when Fatty [Fat Mike] first expressed interest in producing Fishbone, but it seems like it was a long time ago. A random encounter in a parking lot in more recent history lead to the current release."

"Mike's batsh*t crazy, but highly-functional with incredible integrity and follow-through; just right for Fishbone's batsh*t crazy, dysfunctional—yet this functional enough to make it this far—a$$es! It was a long time coming and we hope you love it, like we do. Enjoy, if you will..." With a new EP entirely recorded and produced by Fat Mike coming out on Bottles to The Ground later this year, Fishbone is getting ready to reclaim their live touring throne. No doubt they will continue to leave the audience wanting more and thinking more, leaving their mark and influence on younger bands and paving the foundation and legacy they have been laying down for decades. The Bottle Music for Broken People compilation is just the start for a stacked year of releases from Bottles to The Ground. Fans can look forward to more new music coming from Codefendants, Melvinator, The Meffs, Fishbone, Ras-1, Doom Scroll, Tommy & June (Yotam Ben Horin & John Carey,) and Fat Mike gets Strung Out over the coming months. Be sure to follow Bottles to The Ground on Instagram to keep up with all new and upcoming releases. Fishbone's "All We Have Is Now" is now available on streaming services through Bottles to The Ground.
