This past Valentine’s Day, Daniel “Dan” Isenberg AKA Stan Ipcus released a new stand-along single called “Forever Ever” to Bandcamp and later, additional digital streaming platforms. It was simply uploaded to Bandcamp with a stark pink/white single cover only featuring the soon-to-be iconic “I.P.” crown and mic logo with the song title and a thin white outlined border. Ipcus’ Bandcamp release notification email further explained, “Yoooo, what's good, everyone - Wanted to share a song I just released in celebration of today's holiday. This is a very special song to me and probably my favorite beat I ever produced. Check it out and stay tuned for more new music coming very soon. Also, if you haven't picked up Sleep If You Want on vinyl yet, grab a copy before they're all gone!” along with a link to the aforementioned remaining Sleep If You Want LP’s. After hearing this new lovey-dovey lover boy L.L. Cool J (and dare I say… Drake?)-indebted side of our man Stan Ipcus, I decided to simply text Dan Isenberg for more information. Ipcus gifted us with the following song statement:

‘“Forever Ever” is a song I wrote and produced that is dedicated to my wife of over 15 years. I made this beat a while back, actually. It's probably my favorite beat I ever made; just the way the loop hits and the vocal sample on the hook. I had other lyrics to it when I originally made the beat, but updated it recently to be more about our current relationship and life as husband and wife. [I] thought it would be kinda dope to drop it on Valentine's Day and show some love to my wife and, also, release something that's not the typical Ipcus content coming off of Sleep If You Want. I'm showing my old school L.L. [Cool J] side here a bit. Hope you enjoy it! More new music on the way—I'll be back on my grimy, ill, blunted underground sh*t in no time; don't you worry.”

So, there you have it, the actual factual story behind the making of Stan Ipcus’ first-ever special Valentine’s Day release in honor of Mrs. Ipcus, “Forever Ever.” Now, I’m not gonna go sample snitching over here, but if you listen closely, you’ll probably be able to figure out and track down the 1960’s Soul/R&B song Ipcus most expertly sampled and flipped throughout “Forever Ever.” It’s a rather beautiful and heartwarming tribute to Mrs. Ipcus, but I must say, I’m if nothing else intrigued to hear Ipcus’ original lyrics version prior to the 2024-25 “Forever Ever” re-write and re-do. In any event, go stream, download, purchase, listen to, share excessively, etc. Stan Ipcus’ “Forever Ever” wherever you regularly support music(ians). Ipcus’ most recent, and might I just add phenomenal from end-to-end, album, Sleep If You Want, is now available on Props Kid Records (US) and Tape Kingz Music (UK) in both digital and physical formats, as well as a wide array of tchotchkes including the Sleep If You Want Sherpa Fleece Blanket, Sleep If You Want Throw Pillow, Sleep If You Want Coffee Mugs in both black and/or white color options with super-limited edition 11oz. and 15oz. size options available, and Sleep If You Want Early Bird Bundle complete with one of each of the above, plus one (1) Digital Album Download. If any and/or all of this has piqued your interest regarding The Slappy Happy Pappy himself, Stan Ipcus, go check out my recent comprehensive interview with the man, the myth, the word-twisting legend himself, Dan Isenberg.
