Los Angeles-based WORLD BE FREE is a Punk/Hardcore "super-group" in nearly every sheer essence of the term. Its current line-up features vocalist Scott Vogel, guitarists Joe Garlipp & Andrew Kline, drummer Sammy Siegler, and new bassist Alex Barreto; collectively, having played with the likes of TERROR, Buried Alive, ENVY, Constant Elevation, STRIFE, BERTHOLD CITY, Judge, Gorilla Biscuits, RIVAL SCHOOLS, Chain of Strength, and Excel. WORLD BE FREE formed around 2015 and released their full-length debut, The Anti-Circle, on Revelation Records in 2016, which featured Arthur Smilios (CIV, Judge, Warzone) providing bass duties. Now, WORLD BE FREE have returned with a slightly altered line-up, as well as the announcement of a new EP. One Time for Unity has already yielded one single, "Acceptance," and ahead of next month's wide release on Revelation Records, WORLD BE FREE have dropped a second single today.

"Down & Beyond" became available on stremaing services early this morning and now, its companion Joseph Pattisall-produced and edited music video has been premiered by REVOLVER. It's a fairly standard black-and-white old school-style Punk/Hardcore music video featuring WORLD BE FREE's players in a number of different scenarios lip-synching and playing along to "Down & Beyond," along with various stock footage interspliced throughout. "I believe, I was the person really pushing for this song to make the cut," Scott Vogel tells REVOLVER. "I really liked the energy and overall vibe of this one. It took some time to get this thing to a place we all loved, but, in the end, it may be my favorite song on this record."

Sammy Siegler adds, "I didn't write these lyrics, but it must suck to be "beyond down?!" It reminds me of the film Taxi Driver or Falling Down with Michael Douglas. These are some tough days with everything going on in the world: "'Now I can't feel a thing, life goes on / My mind is spiraling, down and beyond.'" Elsewhere on One Time for Unity, WORLD BE FREE called in a favor and secured an outer-band feature from long-time Hot Water Music frontman Chuck Ragan on the EP's title track. WORLD BE FREE's One Time for Unity EP was recorded (music) by Davey Warsop at Hurley Studios, recorded (vocals) by Nick Jett at Jet to Mars Studios, mixed by Jon Markson at Savaria Studios, and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room, with a cover photo and art design by Jason Peterson. WORLD BE FREE's One Time for Unity is now availbel to pre-order directly from Revelation Records in a number of formats and will become widely available on 11/13.
