Cookin' Soul Employs A Host of Action Bronson Deepfakes for "KARATE FREES" Music Video & Bandcamp Single (Cookin' Soul Records)
Let it be known on-record: Action Bronson is easily one of our favorite emcees! Maybe, it's his zaniness, charisma, orsharp-tonged emceeing skills, love for food, natural wine, wrestling, and obscure 90's films, next-level sample selection, or propensity for randomly bustin' out a backflip. In addition to his emceeing skills, Bronson is an acclaimed chef, television personality, and actor on the rise; he has his own food/travel show on VICE, F*CK, THAT'S DELICIOUS! and has appeared on-screen in Game Over, Man! The Irishman, and, most recently, The King of Staten Island. However, maybe, most amazingly, during Quarantine, thanks to his close friend and personal trainer, Dave Paladino (@davepfit) has lost upwards of 100 pounds! Bam Bam Bronsolino, as he's often called, released his most recent amazingly-titled album, Only for Dolphins, during Quarantine, as well, on Loma Vista Recordings/Caroline International.
Yes, this now means Action Bronson AND Marilyn Manson are labelmates; man, we'd love to see these two eccentric character hobnobbin' together at Loma Vista label gatherings post-Quarantine. Additionally, Only for Dolphins boasts production work throughout from Action Bronson's long-running crew of go-to beatsmiths and knob-twisters: The Alchemist, Harry Fraud, Daringer, Budgie, DJ Muggs, Tommy Mas, Samiyam, Antman Wonder, The Special Victims Unit's Matt "Yung Mehico" Carrollo, and even Bronson himself. GRAMMY award-winning producer and DJ Cookin' Soul has unleashed his latest remix, "KARATE FREES," which appears to be a remix of "I Remember" and a handful of additional FREES(TYLES) from Bronson's aforementioned Bon Appetit ..... B*tch!!!!! For its companion music video, Cookin' Soul has employed a bunch of deepfakes juxtaposing Action Bronson's likeness across a bunch of classic film tidbits, viral videos, Internet sensations, and whatnot akin to his recent "Latin GRAMMYs" clip. Cookin' Soul's "KARATE FREES" is now available to purchase on Bandcamp, along with vinyl, merch, and drum kits. Action Bronson's Only for Dolphins is out now on Loma Vista/Caroline International.
