Members of G.L.O.S.S. P!SS, Rock & VEXX Let Loose URIN's "Whizzing" Swedish Hardcore-indebted INCYDENT EP (Erste Theke Tonträger)

URIN are a newly-minted Swedish-style Hardcore/Punk band based out of Berlin, Germany. Well, they're located in Berlin, wherein they regularly play and rehearse, but originally came from all over the world; URIN currently consists of Karolina (ex-Rock,) Per (ex-P!SS,) David "Suckles" (C__troaches,) and Corey Evans (VEXX, ex-G.L.O.S.S.) URIN—not to be confused with P!SS—play a very specific regional style of 1980-90's Swedish D-beat Hardcore/Punk first popularized by SH*TLICKERS AKA Skitslickers and upon their 1982 break-up, eventually, turned into, Anti Cimex until about 1993. While Karolina, Per, David & Corey previously self-released their 2018 DEMO EP on VOICE FROM INSIDE TAPES last May, their most recent effort, INCYDENT EP, is, technically, their "debut" release. Honestly, the only vaguely Swedish Hardcore/Punk I'm, personally, similar with comes from Refused's seminal album, The Shape of Punk to Come, as well as sharp-dressing Swedes, The Hives... but URIN's brand of 1980-90's Swedish D-beat/Punk revival does, in fact, sound pretty legit! URIN's INCYDENT EP is now available to stream, download, or purchase on limited edition vinyl from Erste Theke Tonträger or directly from the band.

"It's always great to release records of bands with members of other outstanding bands, especially, when they sound f*#^ing dope! Members of Rock (Karolina,) P!SS (Per,) C__troaches (David,) and VEXX/G.L.O.S.S. (Corey) got together in Berlin, Germany and started this band.

This is raw, lo-fi Hardcore Punk in the vein of [SH*TLICKERS]—which seems to be [blasphemous]—but, believe me, it is not! Most of the time, I am bored when there are new bands trying to deliver Hardcore Punk. So, I have just a real ear for bands that take Hardcore to some new, weird, and exciting places. And that's why ETT brings you this EP; straight out of the Berlin gutters!

The new wave of raw Berlin Hardcore is here and alongside fellow bands, like LIFE F@*&ER & P!SS, URIN are holding a match to the firecracker set to explode under the a$$es of all the would-be artists, Internet "activists," and party people currently scourging the German capital, too.

Short, fast, loud, brutal, heavy, obnoxious. Too Punk for Metal, too Metal for Punk; this is deadly serious Raw Punk, much better than most of the so-called "Raw Punk" bands out there. It has that "broke-into-the-studio-in-the-middle-of-the-night" sound quality. The vocals, drums, and guitar tone—everything sounds like a lost 1982 recording out of Gothenburg. Four perfect tunes, in the vein of SH*TLICKERS & Anti Cimex! No compromises—just pure Swedish! Ultra! Mega! Raw! Hardcore! Punk!"
