M.O.P. Emcee & Producer Lil' Fame Readies Debut Solo Album Walk of Fame with Gritty i-Fresh-produced "Say Nothin'" (PR Dean Multi Media)
Lil' Fame is effectively, one half of infamous Brownville, Brooklyn-based Hip-Hop duo, M.O.P. (Mash Out Posse) along with partner-in-rhyme Billy Danze... but I believe, the first time I ever heard Fame was on "Make 'em NV" from J Dilla's Ruff Draft EP (2003) wherein he repeatedly rhymes: "THEM JEWELS YOU ROCK, MAKE 'EM NV!" However, Dilla himself actually, sampled Lil' Fame's voice from M.O.P.'s world-renown party-starting anthem, "Ante Up (Robbing-Hoodz Theory.)" Since their last collaborative release as M.O.P. 2015's Nature Sounds EP, Street Certified, Billy Danze & Lil' Fame have been focusing more on their solo efforts; Danze working on an album to either be titled simply The Billy Danze Project or Behind Gates, as well as a corresponding 8-track EP and Fame, actively working on his debut solo album, Walk of Fame—previously known as The Fame & The Glory. Over the years, Lil' Fame has produced a slew of outer- M.O.P. tracks for the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, AZ, Kool G Rap, Cormega, Masta Ace, Teflon, and Sadat X, as well as Fizzyology with emcee Termanology under his "Fizzy Womack" production alias.
Lil' Fame & Billy Danze did, however, recently appear together alongside Celph Titled on Apathy's February 2018 single, "Stomp Rappers." Less than a month ago, Billy Danze unleashed the first single from his long-rumored solo album, "Halle Berry" produced by G-Whiz. Now, Lil' Fame has re-surfaced with an equally neck-snapping Boom-Bap single of his own, "Say Nothin'" produced by i-Fresh. Fame's expectedly hard-as-nails single is accompanied by a gritty, no frills Mo Shines & Jay Parris-directed music video with cameos throughout from Billy Danze, Mobb Deep emcee Havoc, and Pharoahe Monch. While there are currently little to no additional details concerning either project, both Lil' Fame's Walk of Fame and Billy Danze's The Billy Danze Project/Behind Gates are expected to be released sometime throughout 2018; PR DEAN MULTI MEDIA firmly attests, " Lil' [Fame's] Walk of Fame Album Coming Soon!" There have been rumors of yet another DJ Premier-produced M.O.P. album ever since 2015, which is still rumored to drop this year, as well.
