This is the second collaboration between director Khalil Joseph and musician Ishmael Butler... AKA Palaceer Lazaro of Shabazz Palaces/The Artist Formerly Known as "Butterfly" (Digable Planets). The 2 previously created the "Belhaven Meridian" music video.
The below-featured "skate video" was commissioned by Vans Syndicate and features the tune-age of Flying Lotus. Shabazz Palaces' Sub Pop debut ( Black Ups) is slated for release May 31, 2011. O @ ishmaelites [SB Fan-site] points out that Joseph and Lazaro are supposedly working together on a "larger film," which may or may not be included along with Black Ups.
