Supreme x Playboy "Capsule" (Jason Dill)
"Playboy is an American men's magazine that was founded in Chicago in 1953 by Hugh Hefner and his associates. Over time, the Playboy brand has come to symbolize the high life for men - both real and imagined. One of the most iconic symbols of our time, the "Playboy bunny," has been appropriated by Pop and youth culture for decades, most significantly during the early heydays of Hip-Hop culture in New York City in the late 1970's and early '80's."
Supreme an d Playboy have come together, creating a "capsule collection" i.e. (definition). Consisting of about 8-10 pieces, the collection combines the 2 brands' simplistic, yet "classy" stock looks.
A number of jackets, polos, baseball caps, T-shirts, crewnecks, button-ups, knit caps, and other assorted items are included... With the color palette sticking to the basics - yellow, red, black, and white.
The Supreme x Playboy Spring/Summer 2011 Collection will be available March 10th state-side/online and then in the Supreme, Japan store March 12th... It seems to "draw inspiration" from the [other] Supreme Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook, unleashed Feb. 14 and available for viewing here. While a full look into the Playboy Capsule [Lookbook/Collection] is available over here.
